James Bowie High School Profile

James Bowie High School opened in the fall of 1988. It is the largest Austin Independent School District High School with over 60 acres of land in Southwest Austin. The school contains 120 classrooms, networked computer labs, and computers in all classrooms and offices. The library is over 9,000 square feet with 28,000 print and non-print items. A comprehensive, public high school grades 9 through 12, we offer courses ranging from Advanced Placement and Honors to an outstanding Agriculture program and an exemplary Culinary Arts program.
