Dearest Bowie Community,

We are in desperate need of your help. Two years ago we began a campaign to "Save Our Stage" here at Bowie. We actually had holes in our stage floor! Because of so many good people's efforts we have since seen many dollars raised and a brand new floor installed in our auditorium. But there is still so much to be done.

As you can imagine, renovating our 20 year old theatre and lobby is a very costly undertaking. Our curtains have huge tears in them, we have an old P.A. system that is substituting as our sound system, we use a sagging school table as our box office, and we have no adequate public space to show off our student's artwork. This list goes on and on.

It is our dream to transform our tiny school auditorium and hallway into a beautiful James Bowie Performing Arts Center and Gallery. We are working hard to raise the necessary funds to bring our school out of the dark ages and to create an environment that is rich in culture and inspiration for our young people to experience. With your dedication and generosity we know that this is possible!

      - Volunteer your time, expertise, auction items, or whatever you think to contribute.

      - Join us for an exquisite 'Evening with the Arts' on Feb. 19th at 6:30pm.

      - No donation is too large or too small.

Our six Fine Arts Departments here at Bowie High School are among the top programs in the nation. It is time to provide our award-winning students and instructors with a facility that matches their talents and efforts!
