Photography Assignment #1
Now is your chance to 'Express' yourself. In our introduction assignment you will literally introduce yourself with a single image. Will you need any props? Will it be a candid or posed shot? How can you express who you are through one photographic image? Will you enhance it digitally? You can take the pictures at home or bring props to school and have a friend help you.
Requirements
12 practice portraits in preparation for the final self portrait must be submitted as a contact sheet
Submit a single larger image after enhancing, adding a digital frame, and optimizing (72 dpi).
Capture different poses, expressions, gestures, lighting, and perspectives.
Before using camera both forms below must be signed and turned in to Mr. Nourse.
Read pages 14-22 thoroughly in the digital "Photography" textbook. Be ready for a quiz on material.

After taking all self portraits, importing, and saving to your H:Portfolio go to S:ANourse and watch tutorial #1.
This is a contact sheet stylized in Photoshop
Now is your turn to create one with all the self portraits you took practicing
for the single image that represents you and your personality.

Watch video #3 for instructions on how to create a digital frame (right click, "Save Target as" to your computer).
Video will take a couple of minutes to download (20 megs).
If at school, go to S:ANourse tutorials folder "Digital Framing" to watch instead for faster viewing.

Don't forget to Save 3 times (1 as a .psd & 1 as a .jpg in your H:drive, and 1 as .jpg for a grade to S:ANourse, Finished folder.
