The Class of 2011 Booster Club - Beginning this coming Monday, May 5th, Brick Oven (Brodie & Slaughter) will be hosting Bowie 2011 night every First Monday of the Month .  Let someone else do the cooking and head over to the Brick Oven, 15% of your food bill (before tax) will be donated to the 2011 Booster Club (Project Graduation).  Please make sure you let your server know you are with Bowie 2011.  This is a great opportunity to raise the much-needed funds to make sure 2011 graduation is a complete success. Let your neighbors, friends and family know -- just make sure you mention you are with Bowie .   Brick Oven has been a great supporter to the Bowie community for many years.

Austin LifeGuard – A series of Parent Workshops will be hosted by Austin LifeGuard across the Greater Austin area.  Sex Can Wait; Talking Can't is a 90-minute workshop that will equip parents with current information about sexual health and empower them to talk with their kids about sex.  Austin LifeGuard teaches the sex education part of the health curriculum in many Austin ISD high schools.  This workshop will simply be an addition to those free services.   There are several workshops coming up that parents may be interested in:   May 12, 2008    Bannockburn Baptist Church, May 15, 2008    First Evangelical Free Church - All workshops will begin at 6:30 PM.   For more information and flyer click on the following links:   http://bowieptsa. org/announcement s.html#LifeGuard
