EOC Make Up Testing July 10th- Cancelled
Due to low attendance the district has cancelled the 2nd make up day of EOC Testing that was scheduled for July 10th. If you need to test you can do so at Austin HS or Akins HS at 7:45am on July 10th.

AISD Parent Survey
Dear Bowie HS Parents & Families,
As the District continues to strive for excellence in preparing our students for academic success, we encourage parents to offer feedback on the 2013-14 school year by completing the AISD Parent Survey .Your opinions are important and will be taken into consideration as we strive to serve our students better.
Within the next few weeks, you will receive a survey about your child’s school.
The survey is available on the district’s website: www.austinisd.org.
Please note that your responses to the survey items are completely anonymous.
Once available, the results of our survey will be distributed to campus principals, district administrators, as well as the Board of Trustees. Our community can also view the results when the reports are posted to the AISD website by the end of June.
If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, you may contact the AISD Department of Research and Evaluation at 512-414-1724.

We appreciate your cooperation during the inclement weather days earlier this year, which caused district-wide cancelations and late-starts at AISD schools and district offices.
As you may know, when school is closed because of bad weather, the state requires school districts to make up only the first two days that school was canceled. Our campus and district offices completed one make-up day on Feb. 17 and another make-up day was scheduled for June 6.
AISD’s Board of Trustees have approved a revised school calendar for this current year to make June 6 a Staff Development Day and to designate March 3, which is already a regular, full instructional day, to serve as a bad weather make-up day. The Texas Education Agency has also approved a waiver that, along with the board-approved revised calendar, enables these changes. This means students will not have to attend school on June 6. The second weather make-up day will instead be March 3, which was already a regular school day for students.
Based on feedback from staff members and the community, we are pleased to be able to provide a solution that does not require students and staff members to attend school on other student/staff holidays.
We appreciate your flexibility in implementing this resolution for the inclement weather make-up day. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 512-414-5247 if you have any questions.
A/B Schedule Update
Monday, February 10th will be a B-day and February 17th will be an A day.

Today, January 29th is and A Day. Tomorrow, January 30th will be a B Day. Friday, January 31st will be an A Day. Next week we will return to the normal A/B schedule. A copy of that schedule can be found under the bulletin board section of the website by clicking "show all".

Please remember that shorts and skirts need to be fingertip length, sleevless shirts need to have three finger width straps, and no see through material is allowed. Thank you.

Dear Students and Parents,

I would like to welcome everyone back from summer vacation. Our staff is anxiously awaiting your arrival on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 8:40 a.m. Prior to Monday morning we need to inform you that the parking, drop-off and/or pickup area at the church has been changed. Bowie students and/or parents can only enter the Church lot though the North Entrance on Wolftrap, closest to Slaughter. The middle and south, closest to Oak Park neighborhood, entrances will be for the Church staff and parents only. These are the entrances and exit we used in the past.
Students will no longer be allowed to park in the lot facing Bowie High School. Student parking and parent pickup will be in the lot facing Slaughter Lane. We will have signage and people assisting with this on Monday. Your assistance in using the correct entrance, exit, and parking spaces is greatly appreciated.
